Our 
gladiator, who plays for Arda FC of Bulgaria, recently led his team in a crucial second-leg away clash against HJK in Finland, as part of the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers.
After holding HJK goalless in their home leg, Arda FC needed a win, and they fought hard for it.
Idowu drew first blood in the 24th minute with a superb finish, putting his team in front. HJK fought back and drew level, and the game ended in a 2-2 draw at regular time, leading to extra time. With no further goals, the match went to a penalty shootout, which Arda eventually won 3-4.
This historic victory marks the first time the club has progressed to the next stage of the tournament, where they are set to play Kauno Zalgiris of Lithuania.
Unfortunately, it was not the same outcome for our duo, Yusuf Ibrahim and Ude Thomas of Radnicki 1923, and Novi Pazar striker Ejike Opara, all playing in Serbia. Their respective teams were knocked out of the prestigious European tournament.
Nevertheless, we congratulate all of them for making us proud at this stage.
